ABSTRACT

The main objective of this study is to examine the effect of physical working environment on organizational performance in Nigeria. Using DataPlus Interactive Limited, FCT Abuja. The study adopted a survey research design and with the aid of convenience sampling method, the researcher selected 36 participant who are staff of DataPlus Interactive Limited was selected for the study. Self-Structured questionnaire was issued to the respondent of which 30 was retrieved and validated for the study. Data was analyzed in Simple percentage using frequencies and tables. Hypothesis test was conducted using Chi-Square Statistical tool (spss v.23). Finding from the study reveals that physical work environment encourages the happier employee with their job tasks that ultimately influences the growth of an organization. The result of the study further reveals that  acoustic environment, good lightening, secured and safety environment and technologically equipped office can facilitate the job performance of Employee and enhance their productivity. The study therefore recommends that  owners and management of Small and Medium Scale Businesses  should endeavour to  provide a comfortable working environment for their employee as this will enable them to be more productive and work towards high organizational performance.
